The Toy Theatre, also known as Juvenile Drama, has been present in England since the early 19th century. It has brought enjoyment to countless thousands of children and has attracted adult collectors to seek out these elusive flimsy sheets of paper, some plain, others hand-coloured, to appreciate their simple beauty and charm.
